MIss Ashlyn

I am BEYOND excited that this sweet girl is here and was so excited to be able to take her newborn photos. She has some of the sweetest parents I've had the joy of knowing.

It's beginning to look VERY girly in here...

Just a sneak peek of Nora's nursery. I will hopefully post more pics soon.

Tori's Wedding Shower

My sister is getting married in February.  On one of the coldest, iciest nights of the year, My sister-in-law, and Tori's friend, Alison, threw her a shower at our house. The shower was on a Monday night, so we wanted to do a dinner, and wanted to do something wintry and rustic. I was amazed at Jennifer's ability to whip all this up in no time at all!

Roll Tide!! Champions, Again!

A few weeks before Zachary was born, Alabama won their first national championship in almost 20 years. The next year, Auburn won. The next year, I had Eli in December, and Alabama won again a few weeks later. Well, after this surprise pregnancy, I told Zach "Well, at least we know Alabama will win the championship again this year, because our babies are only born during championship years."

And sure enough... We are three for three on having championship babies. The night of the big game against Notre Dame, we had friends over to watch the game. It may be the third in four years, but we will always remember it.

OH-- and if there is any truth to our baby theory... sorry Bama fans. I hope you enjoyed this last year.

Goodbye, 2012.

For New Years Eve, we decided to take the kids out for a fun night, and then relax at home the rest of the evening. We took them to Chuck E. Cheese's, a first for us. It was a bit out of control, but the kids had a great time. Afterwards, we went home, put the kids down, and Zach and I decided to stay up and ring up the new year, laying by the fire. All in all, it was a perfect night.

In 2012, I've watched Sydney turn into a young woman. Somehow, when she turned 10, she turned into a little adult. Her conversations are more grown, her attitude is more mature. She is a beautiful soul.

Zachary has gone from an almost two year old, to an almost three year old, a big year for him. He was a late talker, so this year, his talking has just taken off. He is getting better and better at carrying on conversations and is learning how to express himself much better. We are SO proud of the progress he's made this year.

In the past twelve months, my sweet infant baby has turned into a big toddler. In the past twelve months, he's given us his first smile, cut his first tooth, said his first word, and taken his first step. This year has been a big one for him. I am so grateful for this sweet baby boy and all the things that 2012 captured in his life.

For Zach and I, we moved our family in our new home, where we hope to plant some roots. We love our new neighborhood and the people we've met here. We love watching our family grow here and take pride in this place that our children will know as home.

It's been a busy 2012, and it looks like a busy 2013 is on it's way, as we prepare to meet Miss Nora.

Projects

Most everyone who knows me knows that I love a good project or craft, but running the business and keeping up with my kiddos prevents me from having enough time to do a lot of what I wish I could. But now that I've entered a slower time, business-wise, I've had more time on my hands to do a few things. I intend to start on Nora's nursery soon, but first, a couple of my favorite recent projects...

We painted the fireplace white. I love how it freshened up the whole room.

I found a jewelry holder that I liked on pinterest, so I made my own version of it to store all my jewelry on. It freed up a couple bathroom drawers.

Our Christmas With Syd

This year, Syd was in town the weekend after Christmas. Friday night, my parents and sister came over for a dinner and to bring their gifts to Syd. She opened all her gifts from both our families.

The next morning, she woke up to our gifts for her. We made beignets for breakfast, and the boys opened their stockings while she opened gifts.

We had a great weekend with you, sweet girl! We love you and miss you every day!
