Help!

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I've started running with a friend of mine in hopes of being able to run a 5k the first week of June. I've been running almost every day, but I don't feel like I'm making any progress, mainly because of side cramping. My side cramps up about 65% of the time less than a mile into the run. I need to know what I should do or stop doing to make this stop. Any advice??

Hey Elizabeth. I left you a link on my blog under your comment. It could be from not drinking enough water or not stretching enough. Since I am a fairly new blogger, what's the best way to respond to a question like you had on my blog, if you didn't have it in your blog as well? Or just in general when someone leaves a comment I want to respond to.

Hey girl! I know it's frustrating, but I am so proud of you for not giving up! We are going to do great in June! By the way, I love your new blog look! When you get a chance, will you e-mail me and tell me how to do that and where you found those templates? Thanks!

When my side starts cramping I concentrate on taking really deep breathes in through the nose and out through the mouth. It has something to do with your muscles not getting enough oxygen. This always helps for me. Sometimes they go away completely, other times just enough to keep going. I think it's great that you are running!
