Anne Camille did an American Idol post last night and since Zach and I are rapidly becoming obsessed with the show, I thought I should do my own post.
Zach has been rooting for David Archuleta since Hollywood week. I didn't see it at first, but the kid is growing on me. He's VERY adorable.
My two ABSOLUTE favorites are Brooke White and Syesha Mercado. Brooke is such a sweet girl with such a great attitude. And she can sing!!Syesha is so spunky! I love it! She won me over when she came back and did that awesome performance while she was sick during Hollywood week.
They both seem to take pride in their music without taking themselves too seriously. Love them both!!!
I didn't have much of an opinion about David Hernandez until this past week. I was in the kitchen cooking when I heard him perform. I quickly went running into the living room to hear who was singing because it was SO good. I've attached a clip of that performance here. He is quickly climbing my favorites list. Can't wait for more!!
Ok, now to another show. I became slightly intrigued by the show, Moment of Truth, after the first couple of episodes. I've always been a HUGE advocate of honesty, so I thought the show was kind've neat... until this last week. I think this was the episode that will turn me off to the show indefinitely. Watching a marriage fall apart on national television isn't really my thing. Here is a recap of the disturbing show below.

OMG!! So funny!! I just looked at my friend, Brooke's blog. Brooke and I worked together at Channel 5 for a couple of years before I left. She's just started a new blog... and today she posted an absolutely HILARIOUS video. Those are the moments that "sometimes" make me miss TV. That video reminded me of another one I came across a few weeks ago. I've posted it below.. but it still doesn't compare to the one on her website. Check it out... and make sure you watch it all!

New Blogs!
Sunday with Syd
"When a daughter first meets her father, she makes room in her heart for the first significant man in her life; she becomes Daddy’s little girl."
-“Daddies & daughters” by Carmen Renee Berry
Every time I see my husband with his daughter, I fall a little more in love. It's no secret that this situation can be challenging and at times frustrating because of the distance between Zach and Syd. But the way Zach loves his daughter is truly a reflection of God's love for us. It's an amazing thing to watch their love grow through sometimes difficult circumstances.
Sunday morning, we left Memphis around 7:00 to go see Sydney. We picked her up around 10:00, and then spent the day shopping, eating, bowling, and playing dress-up. She was so full of life! We're already looking forward to our next visit.
The girl LOVES LOVES LOVES to pose!!
Did I mention she LOVES to pose?

Dad's Birthday Weekend
Wow. We had an extremely busy, but fun weekend. I'm going to warn you now... there are TONS of pictures ahead. Mom threw Dad a birthday party at their house Friday night. It was the first time Mom, Dad, Nana, Grandad, Grandma, Fred, Jennifer, Clayton, Jack, Tori, Lee, Zach and I had all been together since Christmas. We, of course, missed Dan, Tami and Zeke, but we still managed to have a night filled with goofiness and laughter. So much fun!!
Tori and Lee are the BEST models ever!!
LOVE IT!!!

Saturday morning, I helped host a double baby shower for Jill and Kellie, two amazing women from my former small group. They're both expecting girls in the next couple of weeks.
Later Saturday night, Mom and Dad hosted a party for the Memphis, UT game. It didn't end quite the way we wanted, but there were still a few highlights from the night... especially Dad's door decoration. Hee hee.

T.G.I.F- Lots of updates
I have to agree with my friend, Heather... T.G.I.F is the most non-overrated phrase in the world. So excited about this weekend! We have a really busy, but fun time ahead of us. We're staying with Mom and Dad all weekend long. My dad's birthday party is tonight. I'm helping host a double baby-shower tomorrow morning. I'll be helping my mom prepare for a Memphis v. UT party at her house Saturday night. And then Sunday morning, Zach and I leave bright and early to go see Sydney.
I found out this week, my college roommate, Heather, had her baby. So excited for her and Blake! Little Cade is 8lbs, 1 oz, and 20 inches long! I can't wait to meet him!
I just found out that my friend, Sara Little has a new blog. Sara has been good friends with my sister since they were in elementary school. Sara has always been like a little sister to me, but now that we're grown, I consider her a friend. She is so sweet and so full of passion and life. I adore everything about her. She is a wonderful writer and really funny. Take a minute to read her blog. So much fun!

Buffalo Wings
Zach got to stay at home on Monday since banks are closed for President's Day. Since he was off work, he decided to do our grocery shopping for the week. He doesn't like to cook that much, so he came home with Bertolli's pre-made pasta, frozen buffalo wings ready to bake, and frozen pizza. I was excited since I was given a pass from cooking all week long!
Well, on Tuesday, Zach called and told me he was really craving those buffalo wings he bought. But when I took them out of the freezer to put them in the oven, I discovered he only bought the raw chicken wings. In his defense, the front of the bag was pretty deceptive with a big picture of a plate of wings. I also assumed the bag was filled with pre-breaded and pre-mixed hot wings.
I've never cooked buffalo wings in my life, but since Zach was craving them, I was up for the challenge. I pulled out our fry daddy for the second time since our wedding, deep fried the wings, and concocted a homeade bbq sauce. In the end, they turned out quite delicious! Zach and I were so impressed with our last-minute creation, that we had to take a picture.

Scrapbooking and Boxing
When I told Zach my plan to scrapbook as many things possible about his time with Sydney, he decided to help by locating any and all old pictures, cards, etc. from the time of Sydney's birth. Needless to say, I was a little overwhelmed (but excited) when he came to me with a big box of stuff. I have so much stuff to catch up on! I've gotten a chance to scrap a few pages over the past few days. These are of Christa's ultrasound, pregnancy, and Syd's first few days after she was born.
On a separate note, we have the pleasure of being in one of the greatest small groups ever, through our church, Living Hope. Saturday night, our small group got together at Ross and Caroline's house to play games, eat and hang out. While we were there, the guys got into a boxing competition on the Nintendo Wii. I'm not exactly sure why, but while they were "boxing," the girls could not quit laughing.

Big Brothers
So... here's the deal. My parents gave me a web camera for Valentine's Day so I could finally talk to my brother, sister-in-law, and my nephew from across the world. I've loved talking to them online the past couple of days. Today, I tried to make Zeke laugh by making funny faces at him. Unforunately, I forgot the number one rule of being a little sister. Always watch out for the big brother who is looking for an opportunity to embarrass you. Apparently Dan was videotaping me while I was trying to make Zeke laugh... And then decided to edit it and post it on his blog.
Yes, it is funny... but revenge is still necessary... and difficult from thousands of miles away. I'm open for suggestions from all my prankster friends out there.

Ice Storm 2008
Right now, Sydney and the rest of the Millham family are in our prayers as they struggle with the aftermath of a devastating ice storm. On Monday, an ice storm hit parts of Missouri and Illinois knocking out power to thousands of people. Almost everyone in their small town of Jackson was without power. Luckily Sydney and Christa were one of the few homes in Jackson with power. This morning, Jackson and Cape Girardeau are still struggling to get things back up and running. We're checking in with Sydney daily, who is safe, warm and happier than ever. We are also checking the Southeast Missourian daily for updates. These are some of the photos taken from the newspaper of the ice storm. You can also read here for the latest update on the storm. We're planning to visit Sydney next weekend, but we have to wait and see how this storm plays out. Please keep her and the Millhams in your prayers.
Happy Valentine's Day
I'm one of those people who appreciates all things cheesy and lovey-dovey romantic... so as you can imagine I love Valentine's Day. One of the things I love so much about my husband is that he is the same way. We love dating and romancing each other! Last night, we decided to avoid the crowds and stay in for Valentine's. We tested out our fondue pot for the first time. We had cheese fondue and beef fondue. It turned out to be a lot of fun. Afterwards, we danced to John Legend, shared a bottle of champagne, and watched "The Game Plan." It was the perfect, quiet evening.
Zach, I cherish every minute God gives me with you. You provide me comfort, life, laughter and love. Thank you so much for being such a great leader and provider to our family. I'm so excited to see what the future holds.

I'm back...
Thursday morning, I woke up with what seemed like another cold. My chest was congested and I was pretty stopped up. As the day continued, I got the chills and started to ache all over. By the end of the day, my temperature was 103 degrees and I could barely move. On Friday, I skipped work and went to the minor emergency clinic. Turns out- I had a bad case of the flu and an extremely low white blood cell count. I'll spare you all of the disgusting details from the past few days. All that's important is that things are looking up! I have a bad cough that the doctor says will probably hang around for awhile. But all in all-- a LOT to be grateful for. I'm back at work today and have a lot of catching up to do. Now, we're just crossing our fingers and praying that Zach will remain healthy. Seriously- I want to thank all my family and friends who called, emailed, and checked on me this weekend. I have a very amazing support system. That is something I thank God for daily.

I'm sure this is going to come as a shock to most of you, but here it is anyway... Zach and I are dorks. The really, really big kind of dorks. That's important to know before you read any further.
Yesterday's flickr topic was "jumping." The idea of this challenge was to photograph yourself in mid-jump. I asked Zach to help me. After about the second shot, we had a decent picture. But for some reason, we couldn't stop. Zach and I spent about an hour taking pictures of ourselves jumping on the bed, jumping on the ground, running and jumping. Believe it or not, it was actually quite fun. If you're over the age of 20 and haven't jumped on the bed in a while-- I highly recommend it. Anyway-- here is the outcome of some of our pictures. So funny!
This is my favorite picture!! My husband can get some air!! Hee hee.. I LOVE his facial expression in this picture! Ha!
